It's no secret that I adore going to the Farmer's Market on Friday mornings before work.
Yes.
I'll wake up extra early and venture to the other side of Charlotte on Friday mornings just to hit up the Farmer's Market. They are only open Tuesday, Friday, and Saturdays and lately the only day that's been working out for me to go has been Fridays. Totally ok with that.
The best part is that it isn't super crowded either on Friday mornings.
On Saturday mornings the place is packed. Everyone comes out to load up on the fresh, delicious, cheap fruits and veggies. It can be a zoo out there and I'd rather be able to wander around, see what looks good, and take my time selecting what I want to buy.
Last Friday, I bought:
4 ears of corn
2 green bell peppers
2 red bell peppers
6 zucchini
2 squash
2 apples
... all for under $12.
Win!
Afterwards, I have lots of great veggies to use to cook up some delicious things like Roasted Spaghetti Squash, Grilled Zucchini, and Grilled Corn on the Cob just to name a few.

Need a Farmer's Market to check out?
If you're in Charlotte, go to the Kings Drive Farmers Market by Simpson's Produce.

Davidson? Head over to the Davidson Farmer's Market

Columbia? Try the Soda City Market on Main Street.
