There's a new bar on Kiawah and y'all, I am in love with it.

It opened up about a week ago out at Freshfield's village {right next to the grocery store} and while I was down there this weekend, I met up with Meg {a blogger from Charleston} to check it out.

Here's the deal: it's called FORTYEIGHT because they have 48 different wines on tap each day that you can order by the glass {or taste. or half glass}.  They also have 48 craft beers available for purchase. There are even 48 menu items for you to order.

A wide menu of wine by the glass? Craft beers? Food? Yup. I'm ok with all of the above. But it gets better.

It's a "serve yourself" type of place. They have wine stations throughout the bar with various types of wines in each. To be able to access the wine you trade out your debit/credit card for a specialized white card. You can either opt to put a certain amount of money on that card or you can treat it like you would a normal bar tab and pay at the end.

You insert your card, select the wine and amount that you want, grab a glass, and out pours the wine into your glass.

You can try a taste, a half glass, or go ahead and get the full glass.

When you're ready to go, you trade your white card back for your debit/credit card and close out. Simple as that. If you liked what you drank while you were there, you can actually buy a full bottle of it to take home with you!

It's a fantastic concept if you ask me. I'm already looking forward to my next trip up there!
