Tiger Fans! Are... you... READY?!?!
This is the day that every single Clemson alumni and fan has dreamed of, hoped for, and wished for. Some of us have been waiting 34 years for the day, some of us have been waiting our entire lives.
Me? I'm in the latter group. I wasn't around the last time that Clemson won the National Championship at the end of the 1981 season.

& no, I will not CUinArizona because surprisingly, I'm not at the National Championship game today. Shocking, I know! But at the end of the day, a trip out to Arizona wasn't in the cards for me this year. I also don't believe this is a "once in a lifetime" event for Clemson - I fully expect to have another opportunity in the next couple of years to go see them play for a National Championship in person!
To answer your question, yes, it is killing me not to be there today.
But I have been thoroughly enjoying every single Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & Snapchat post from my friends who are out there! ALL of my social media has been flooded with orange and Clemson and Arizona and the Grand Canyon and Vegas and hiking in the dessert and all of the other awesome things people are doing on their trip out west. Y'all, do me a favor and keep posting so that I may live vicariously through you!
No matter the outcome, it's been one hell of a season to experience {rainy, muddy, nasty games & all} with a lot of awesome memories.
Road tripped with my fiancé, parents, and some good friends to Louisville, KY to see Clemson play the Louisville Cardinals.
Convinced my mom {for the very first time ever} to wait outside of the stadium at the top of the hill for the Tigers to get off the bus & run down the hill.
Hiked across campus with my mom to get front & center at a Tiger Walk.
Got to tailgate at Churchill Downs.
Witnessed Clemson beat FSU to stay undefeated & clinch the ACC Atlantic Division title.
Watched Clemson beat USC for a second straight year with one of my very favorite Gamecocks.
Traveled to Charlotte to see Clemson play {& win!} the ACC Championship Game.
Got to enjoy my team being # 1 ALL SEASON LONG in the CFP Rankings! All season we've been able to do the whole "We're #1" thing in pictures and it has been more fun that I'd like to admit.
It's been one hell of a year y'all.

ReplyDeleteYay, go Tigers!!! I'm so excited for our team! I'm with you, I'm so jealous of all my friends posts that are in AZ (which feels like EVERYONE), but loving living vicariously through them. We got to go to the Orange Bowl, so can't complain too much though :). I have faith that we'll be at the Natty again soon and I can catch 'em on the flip side. GO TIGERS
