I had every intention but...

I had every intention of writing up a post about the bathroom remodel at the beach house because it's finally done {yay!}

Ok, not quite done, but done enough that I could actually use that bathroom this weekend instead of the one in the hallway. It is now my new favorite room in the house and I've already taken two amazing showers in my new fabulous shower. Love that shower {and the entire bathroom} a lot. Thanks, Dad!

Don't worry. There will be a post in the near future with the completed bathroom but I figured I could wait until there were towel bars and towels and somewhere to put the toilet paper other than the back of the toilet. It'll be the most awesome bathroom you've ever seen... I think it is at least but I might be a little biased.

I also had every intention of never ever writing a weekend recap post. I wanted to always blog more about restaurants, all things Clemson, running, recipes, things to do in {insert southern city here}, etc rather than this be a journal. Ha. I haven't really stuck to that have I? I kind of flooded my instagram this weekend with tons of random pictures and I didn't get it all out of my system so sorry y'all, here's the weekend recap:

First of all, let's talk about how I downed at least a bottle of wine Friday night and had an amazing dinner at The Melting Pot and ate broccoli for the first time ever {anything tastes good dipped in cheese, except granny smith apples} and then checked out a rooftop bar. Both were fantastic and I had excellent company!

Then I headed down to Kiawah {post-Bridge Run traffic} and hopped on my bike. Saw a baby gator, a big gator's head lurking in the water, a deer in the dunes, and a King snake. Side note: I just decided it was a good idea to google "king snake" because I wanted to make sure that's actually what we came across. Bad, bad, very bad idea. Unless you like to see hundreds of pictures of random snakes. Note to self: trust zoo people to correctly identify creatures and move on.

I ate a really good turkey wrap for lunch {see the tomatoes in it? Yup, add those to the list of food that I like now along with the broccoli} and decided it was a good idea to take pictures of fun wine bottles.

I wanted to layout on the beach so bad but the wind was making it just a tad too cold. I tried to suck it up as long as possible but after 45 minutes when a couple clouds blocked the sun... it was time to go. Yes, I was so determined to get some sun this weekend that I became that girl laying out in a beach chair in a driveway a block away from the beach instead of laying on the beach. It happens.

Sunday, when the weather looked like this

my mom and I decided it was a good idea to go for a seven mile bike ride. It ended up only drizzling for about half of our ride and I'm glad we decided to venture out.

Went to the Food Truck Rodeo {check back tomorrow for more on that} and stopped by to visit with the bike love of my life {yes, it's $700} and managed to walk away from it. But... then I found this basket in the store and now I'm head over heals in love with the bike and the matching basket.

Thrilling weekend, right? :)
