A Southern Twenty-Five on Friday!

It's Friday and I'm headed down to Kiawah for the weekend. Does it get better than that? Nope.

This time next week, we'll all be in the midst of celebrating Amanda and Ben's wedding. We girls started the celebrations a little early this past weekend with a wedding shower brunch. Who can say no to brunch & good friends?

Can't wait for next weekend!

I grilled {unsupervised} for the very first time this week. I've had my eye on our outdoor living area at my apartment complex since I moved in eight months ago. We finally got the OK to use the grills, fire pit, and fireplace and I took advantage of that a couple of nights this week.

For the record... I cooked a perfect piece of chicken and a perfect piece of steak this week. I'm 2 for 2 on the grill so far {once I figured out how to turn the stupid thing on}

Can we talk about how much I love daylight savings time? I don't care about how dark it is in the mornings when I have to go to work but I do care about how much daylight I get after work.

There has been plenty of time this week for biking, for running, for grilling, for an extra glass of wine at the Wine Vault, etc. and I'm a huge fan of it. And with the warmer weather, I've been able to have my windows and porch door open while I'm home and I'm hoping that lasts a little bit longer before the pollen takes over.

I spent all day this past Saturday watching everyone complete really awesome races. Whether it was the BB&T Corporate Cup Half Marathon or an 8K race or a low country half marathon, pictures were popping up on my social media all weekend long. I was so jealous.

So thanks everyone.

I've got my running gear packed for the weekend because I now have about a dozen races that I want to run over the next few months.

I'm spending 8 of the next 10 days in and around the Charleston area.
Can't. Wait.

Happy Friday {the 13th}!
