Oh Hey, November!

Ah, Halloween has come & gone and I can not only find these cookies at the store but I can buy them without feeling guilty.

Sorry, Thanksgiving, but these cookies had to be purchased.

I spent the entire weekend in Columbia this weekend. I wasn't off gallivanting to Charlottesville like I wanted to be. There was no home Clemson or South Carolina game. I didn't drive down to Kiawah. It was nothin' but Columbia.

Friday night was my favorite kind of date night with Patrick: drink/appetizer, a little shopping, and late dinner out. We ate at a hole in the wall Italian place that has been around for years {The Villa} and called it a night.

Saturday morning, Patrick and I woke up and went to the gym. Made a quick stop at the grocery store. I did a 3.1 mile run around the hills in the 'hood. Sounding super basic yet?

Things got fun around lunchtime on Saturday. We had invited over a few friends to watch football, eat some delicious food, and to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. That's my kind of Halloween, y'all. No need to come up with a costume idea and no need to go out in all of the Halloween nonsense.

{the 3-in-1 outfit: orange shorts for Clemson, black shirt for USC, orange AND black for Halloween}

We watched Clemson BEAT {!!} NC State and and go to 8-0 for the first time since like the 80s. In all of my many years of being a Clemson fan, the best I have ever seen them was 7-0. This is new territory for me now but I can't say that I hate it.

Want to know how Sunday went? I know you do.

Woke up entirely too early {thank you, daylight savings time}. Went back to sleep. Cooked a Tombstone pizza for breakfast. Stumbled across the NYC Marathon on TV and had to watch it. You couldn't have paid me money to get me to watch running before I started running but seriously, that stuff is addicting now. May or may not have taken 4 naps. Kept track of my friend Josh as he ran the NYC Marathon.

It was a truly lazy, sleepy Sunday. I blame the rain and daylight savings time.

Don't worry though, this type of weekend will not be the norm for me. Not yet at least.

November is a big month:
Clemson vs FSU this weekend
USC vs Florida next weekend
an engagement party in our honor on Kiawah the following weekend
then Thanksgiving and THE game of the season: Clemson at USC
{& maybe 3 5Ks within 4 days?}

Hey, November, can't wait to see what you have in store!
{fingers crossed that it includes a 12-0 Clemson team when it's all said and done!}

Linking up with Biana and Meghan for another edition of Weekending.

  6. It sounds like we had pretty similar Halloween weekends! One of my favorite parts about Halloween is getting to see all of the kids dressed up, so I love staying at home and handing out candy. And congrats to Clemson, going 8-0 is not a simple feat!
