Five on Friday

Friday!

Let's do this thing.

{one}
Finally, finally, finally for the first time since early May... I made it back to the gym!

It all started with the great toe injury of 2016 and continued on with buying a house, trying to fix up the house, traveling for the summer, planning a wedding, getting hitched, etc. But now that we're married, home, and back into a routine? It was back to the gym for me this week! Hallelujah.

Ok - I need to know.

Is this Essie Gel Polish worth the hype? Should I pick up some the next time that I'm at Target or no?

Now that we have this whole moving into a new house/getting married thing behind us, I've been able to focus on other things. Like the fall.

Specifically, football & running.

{and apparently pumpkins?}

I've mapped out 9 or 10 college football games that I'll be attending and somehow managed to fit in three 5Ks and a 10K. I'm still on the fence about whether or not I want to do the Kiawah Half Marathon again this year... I already know that I'll be super sad on race morning if I'm not lined up at the starting line but it might be nice to focus on shorter distances instead. We'll see!

I know that we're only halfway through August but somehow this candle got broken out on Monday night.

I had forgotten how good this one smells! It's still summer around here {& let's be honest, it will still feel like summer for another two months} but this candle definitely puts me in the mood for fall.

Guess what is calling my name again?

You know it - Kiawah! I've got a weekend full of biking, beaching, and relaxing planned. It's the last trip down there for awhile and I plan to make the most of it while I'm on my favorite island. I've got my fingers crossed for a baby sea turtle sighting since they're hatching like crazy right now.

Happy Friday, y'all!

{PS - Only 13 days until college football is back in our lives and only 15 days until I get to see my Clemson Tigers play again!}

  1. I wonder about the new easier gel line. Was not impressed with the original version that came out a few years ago. The only people I have seen raving about it so far were bloggers that got it for free.

  4. I am dying to try the Essie Gel nail polish! I have been using the gel top coat for a while and totally love it. I bet these are amazing! Also, I am loving all your snaps from Kiawah -- it looks so beautiful there!

  5. Yes you absolutely need the gel polish. I didn't get it for free (ha!) and it's the best store-bought gel line I've used. I got a solid seven days out of it with no chips, which is unheard of for me!

  6. I really want to know if the gel line is worth the hype, too! You will have to let us know if you try it out!
