A Game Day & Hurricane Five on Friday

Happy Game Day!!
That's right - it's a Friday and Clemson is playing a football game tonight up in Boston against Boston College. Do I wish I was there right now? You bet! This was going to be our college football road trip this year but it didn't quite work out.

Don't worry. I've got my orange on and I'm ready to cheer them on from my house tonight with a few of our friends.
Here's a quick Five on Friday for y'all to enjoy this week {since I completely slacked off and didn't have one for y'all last Friday... oops!}
Lately it seems that October + South Carolina = some sort of crazy weather thing. Last year it was the 1,000 year flood and this year it's Hurricane Matthew. We're under a State of Emergency, there was a mandatory evacuation for 1.1 million people along the coast line, and I'm sure you can imagine what the lines have looked like at the grocery stores and gas stations.

Here's hoping that Hurricane Matthew, who will officially arrive late tonight/early tomorrow, doesn't do too much damage to my home state.
I can eat soup and chili and all sorts of "cold weather" foods any time of the year. 102 degrees outside? You can likely find me inside the house eating broccoli & cheddar soup. Not my husband though - he's the exact opposite and will not eat cold weather food until the temperatures drop low enough.

Well, it finally got down "low" enough for me to make Crock Pot White Chicken Chili this week & I was in heaven. Windows open, cool fall air blowing in, and a delicious chili in the crock pot.
Quick house update for y'all:

We have something hanging on the wall! It's our super awesome custom Chicken Man painting that Patrick's mom gave us at our rehearsal dinner. I'm hoping to get a few more things hung up around the house this weekend and y'all should stay tuned next week for a longer update on where we are with our house. Can't wait to hang more things {... like the wine rack that's sitting on the floor under where it's going to eventually hang}

I've been on the hunt for a little ring dish for both Patrick and me so that we'd have someone to put our rings each day instead of next to the kitchen sink {guilty!} or amongst all the clutter on our dresser.

I found these cute little dishes this past weekend when my mom and I stopped in Swoozies & wanted to share. They'd make a great little gift for anyone you know that's newly engaged {or newly married!}
Here's to my favorite South Carolina coastal island of Kiawah - stay safe with this hurricane! Don't wash away, please.

& to all of my friends in Matthew's path, y'all stay safe too!
Happy Friday! GO TIGERS! BEAT BC!
