Folly Food

Until this past weekend, I had never been to Folly Beach, but I had definitely heard about a couple of the restaurants out there. Luckily, I got to try both of the restaurants that I wanted to!

We all went out to eat at Taco Boy Friday night.

Chips and salsa plus a la carte tacos? That's my kind of Mexican restaurant.

We went with their appetizer trio and um, that Jalapeño Salsa is no joke! The guac was also great {or so I was told} and the cheese dip was the best. The other side of the table went with a huge order of guacamole, two orders of taquitos, and the nachos. Considering none of it was left, I'm assuming all of that food was fantastic as well.

For dinner, I went with the carne asada and the grilled chicken tacos. The carne asada one was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The grilled chicken? Wasn't for me.

If you've ever been around me on a Saturday {or Sunday, or let's be real - any day of the week} morning, then you know that pancakes are a necessity in my life. Patrick and I walked down to Lost Dog Cafe for breakfast Saturday morning and snagged a table outside just before they got super busy.

We decided to order something from their mason jar mimosas section of the menu... and I ended up with the peach juice + champagne one, which is also known as a Bellini and quite possibly my new favorite drink. It's one that I'm going to have to learn how to make before football season begins because this would make an excellent drink at a morning tailgate!

So, just a heads up, their breakfast burrito is massive.

I just wish that we had another day out on Folly to go back to both restaurants!

  6. Those tacos are almost making me regret starting this mostly-vegan diet! I might try to make those when I let myself eat meat again.
