Weekending: The Married Edition

Can I tell you how long I have been looking forward to this past weekend?

Years.

Yes, years.

I have been eagerly anticipating the first weekend that Patrick and I could spend together in our home with no real plans. It's hard to believe that it took SEVEN years for us to get to this point but whatever. We finally had our weekend and it was awesome.

We started out our weekend by not having to pack any bags or drive any distance to see one another. For the first time EVER we both came home to our house at the end of the day on Friday. There were 364 other Fridays in our relationship where we either had to travel to see one another or we just didn't see each other. I cannot begin to tell you how nice it was to just go home to my husband after work.

Anyway, moving on...

If you follow me on snapchat {@ chessop} then you saw our insanely ridiculous to do list.

{edits made: we swapped out painting the window trim for painting a 2nd coat of paint on the living room ceiling, living room walls, and dining room ceiling and swapped out a trip to the recycling center for a trip to BBB to return a few things}

We started out our Friday night by tackling the first coat of paint on our brand new ceilings and the dining room walls. We had an excellent supervisor {Chris} overseeing us while we worked.

Saturday morning started out with a quick trip up to Soda City Market for some fresh veggies and homemade bread.

 but then it was back to the house for...

Yard Work.

Painting.

A quick nap.

More painting.

Our Sunday looked a little like this:
Church.
Fresh Market.
Publix.
Painting.
Errands.
Meal Prep.

Sunday night dinner with my parents.

{grilled filet mignon, fresh corn on the cob, squash casserole, & homemade bread YUM}

We ended up crossing everything off our list with the exception of painting the shelf for the guest bedroom closet {go us!}

& to be honest, it was a perfect first weekend at home. But I think Patrick and I are both a little excited about work this week because we can finally sit down for longer than two minutes...

Happy Monday, y'all!
