Week 7: Clemson vs NC State

Do you know what I absolutely love?
An October weekend in Clemson.

Specifically one where Clemson has a home football game & it's homecoming & it's a Girls Only Tailgate kind of weekend. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have a 3:30 kickoff time rather than noon. But like Dabo said, "... let's get up, eat a biscuit and be ready to roll."

{not pictured - our early AM chicken biscuits from Chickfila!}
We had Bellinis.

We walked downtown to do a little wandering around and a little shopping.

Then it was over to Bowman Field to check out this year's homecoming floats and ran into a few friends.

Back at our tailgate, we had our typical girls' only style tailgate: chicken salad, pimento cheese, & fruit.

Plus, more friends!

& then it was game time!

Every year, when Clemson & NC State play, all the players link arms with their teammates and walk to midfield to shake hands with the opposing team. I think it looks pretty cool from the stands.

October 15, 2016
24-17 OT, Clemson

So, um, did that game take a year or two off of anyone else's life? I felt like I had run a half marathon by the end of regulation & overtime.

Also - new rule in Death Valley this week. People can still gather at the paw on the field after the game but must wait 30 seconds after the game is official over before entering the field. Well. When you win in over time with an interception in the endzone directly in front of the student section and the hill?

Nobody waited!

It was a fantastic day in Clemson and I'm so sad that the season is over halfway finished. How has Clemson already played 7 of their guaranteed 12 games? If they continue to play like they did last year, they'll get an additional 3 games {ACC Championship, CFP semi final game, and the National Championship}. So far, they're on the right track.
Happy Monday, y'all! Hope everyone has a great week! :)
