Week 2: Clemson vs Appalachian State

Another Saturday, another wonderful day spent in Clemson and Death Valley.

Week #2 was yet another Girls Only Tailgate as the boys had their own game in Columbia to attend. We do the Girls Only Tailgate right: drink some wine, hit up the stores downtown, drink some more wine, have a sparse little tailgate, socialize, drink a little more wine.

Do you remember last year {at the greatest game ever} when I convinced my mom to go down on the field with me after the game? Well, there was another Clemson tradition that she needed to partake in. She had never missed the Tigers running down the hill but I got her to do so this week. It was for a good reason! It's a lot of fun to stand outside the stadium when the Tigers get off the buses at the top of the hill.

We positioned ourselves outside of the stadium at the top of the hill and waited for the cops and buses to arrive.

Here they come!

Oh hey, Dabo!

Players!

Jayron Kearse.

Artavis Scott.

Needless to say, it was worth it to stand outside of the stadium and see all of the players/coaches disembark the bus.

The game ended in Clemson's favor {sorry, mountaineers!}

& on Wednesday, we take off for Louisville!

Clemson plays at Louisville on Thursday night on ESPN and we decided to make this our road trip game this season. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that there are plenty of things to do around Louisville {Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Museum, all of the bourbon, etc} but it didn't take too much convincing on my part to get a good group of people to take part in this road trip.

Stay tuned for Thursday & Friday this week when I'm comin' at ya live from Louisville!
