Save Our Date

Sending out our Save the Date was one of the things that I was most looking forward to with the whole wedding planning process. I love, love, love receiving these in the mail but I think I loved sending them even more.

We went with the oh-so-trusty Minted for our Save the Dates which goes against almost everything I believe in. I felt like I was cheating on my best friend by going with a company like Minted since I graduated with a degree in Graphic Communications and have worked in the printing industry for the last 6 years... details y'all, details. It's a pretty safe bet that we will not be going this route when it comes to our actual invitations/printed things for the wedding, but it worked perfectly for this.

What, stop rambling, show y'all what it looks like? Alright.

Anyone recall the story of how Patrick & I met? It's what inspired our Save the Date.

I knew I had found the perfect picture for our Save the Date when I came across this one from our engagement session.

I think that our instructions were "walk down the pathway slowly, hold hands, look back at the camera when I say to"... and it morphed into dancing on the pathway instead.

& the back.

The best part of working with Minted? The free addressing! Except we totally wasted most of that opportunity because we didn't have everyone's addresses when we ordered our cards... oops! Collecting addresses was the bane of my existence for awhile there and has probably been my least favorite part of this whole wedding planning process.

But now I can check another couple of things off my list:
Wedding Guest List - check!
Design/Order Save the Dates - check!
Mail Save the Dates - check!

Once again, major thanks to Jessica Roberts for her fantastic photography skills & for capturing the best picture for our Save the Date.
