Our Wedding: Getting Ready

Another Wednesday, another wedding post!

The girls spent Saturday morning at Metropolis Salon {downtown near the corner of Taylor & Main Street} sipping on mimosas and bellinis while getting our hair and make up done. It was the perfect location & the staff at Metropolis was so accommodating!

They basically let us take over the entire salon.

If you're in the Columbia area, Amy at Metropolis is so, so, so amazing. I knew as much after my hair & make up trial for bridal portraits but she knocked it out of the park on wedding day, too.

My one tip? If you're the bride or a mother-of-the-bride/groom, I 100% suggest doing a hair and make up trial prior to the wedding day. Just trust me. Do it. You do not want to get to wedding day and either not know what you want to do or try out something new that you end up hating.

The whole getting ready process went almost 100% smoothly. There was one tiny, itsy-bitsy stressful moment but at the end of the day there were 7 pretty bridesmaids, one happy bride, and a beautiful mother-of-the-bride.

We raced back to the hotel to grab dresses & off to the church we went!

---

Alright, y'all have suffered through all of the non-professional pictures. And all the events that only mattered to the bride/groom & bridal party. Hope you're ready for all of the fun, professional pictures now!

I was super top secret about my wedding dress & Patrick was 100% adamant about not doing a first look. What happens when you combine those two things? Check back next week :)

  10. I was just in a wedding over the weekend and I loved being spoiled and having hair and make-up done. I definitely agree on the trial run comment. It's so important that you make sure you love your look before hand!

  12. Cheerful preparation for the wedding. On your faces are not visible anxiety, it is very good. When I met my future wife http://nikolaev-marriage-agency.com/nikolayev-place-to-look-bride/ and took the first major step we have fallen into a tornado of love, and then we had a wedding. At the wedding, we were so excited that we forgot about the most important, about our feelings. After that, in any situation, we try to keep this in mind. This made our feelings stronger.
