Fondue Set + Taco Night = Queso!

Everyone loves a good Taco Tuesday, right? Of course. I haven't been able to host a Taco Tuesday in a loooong time so I knew that as soon as I moved, it was going to be the very first thing that I did. We had our Taco Tuesday last week and it was fantastic because we added a new element to the taco nights.

Homemade queso!

Who doesn't love queso?

I mean, I didn't like queso until recently but that's completely beside the point. It's delicious. Plus, with a birthday fondue set, it's absolutely necessary to make some homemade queso for Taco Tuesday.

The Best Mexican White Cheese Dip
{Original recipe can be found here}

Ingredients
1/2 pound of white American cheese
1/4 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of butter
1 {4oz} can of diced green chili's
1 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of garlic salt
1 pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions
1. Place cheese, milk, and butter in a fondue put over low heat until melted. Stir frequently.
2. Stir in the green chili's, cumin, garlic salt, and the cayenne pepper.
3. Add more milk if you want the queso to be thinner.
4. Serve immediately with chips.

Not gonna lie - I even added this queso to my tacos instead of just adding shredded cheese. Gooey, cheesey, deliciousness. If you happen to have leftovers {don't know how you could!} I wouldn't suggest saving them in your fridge. Just sayin'.

  9. Commercial cheese dips, especially the ones made with processed cheese, contains artificial additives or colors. That is why I'm glad you decided to whip up your own homemade dip for those tacos. Looking at the picture and learning what ingredients you used made my mouth water in delight. Hahaha! Thanks for sharing the recipe! Happy eating! :)
