A Southern Twenty-Five on Friday!

So happy that it's finally FRIDAY!

Linking up for a little Five on Friday action...

Not only is it Friday, but it's my last day of work before a week of vacation. Yes! I'm am so beyond ready for:
9 days of no work
my brother to get here
a couple days in Kiawah
Christmas cookies
Lights at the Zoo
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve service at church
day after Christmas shopping
family time in Charlotte

This dress.

I just need to find a reason to own this dress...

Have I mentioned Lights at the Zoo yet? I love Lights at the Zoo. See?
Yes, I am fully aware that I act like a small child when I'm at Lights at the Zoo. Whatever. I cannot wait to go next week!

I've convinced my family to spend some time in Charlotte this year. But... now I have to figure out what to do. Beyond a Panthers Stadium Tour & checking out a couple of breweries in South End... I have no idea! Any suggestions??

FIVE days until Christmas!!!!!! Yes!
& it's totally legit to just now be sending out Christmas cards, right? Right.

Happy Friday!

  1. Sounds like a lot of wonderful things to look forward to over Christmas!! I just sent out my last few Christmas Cards yesterday - better late than never!!

  2. You know, my grandmother always says "buy a dress when you love it, not when you need it. If you wait until you need it, you will end up with something you don't like". Just saying... ;)

Cute blog, I'll def be back!

  3. Merry Christmas to you too!

It's completely okay to send Christmas cards out today. My father-in-law works on his on Christmas Eve!

  4. I just found your blog, and really enjoy it. Hearing you say 5 days till Christmas just freaked me out a bit...SO MUCH to still do! Ahh!! :-)

  5. I love your collections of pictures at the Zoo. How fun!

    For ideas:
~Mint Museum or Bechtler in Uptown with lunch at Halcyon
~Drive through the neighborhood near Southpark. Those mansions are always so decked out! Also, shopping at Southpark is always fun.
~Breweries in NoDa are awesome, too!
    ~Hiking Crowder's
    ~Antiquing at Sleepy Poet

    Lots of options!

  6. What a perfect next week you have planned!! So jealous that you have 9 days off….enjoy your family time! And i'm not familiar with charlotte, but I'm sure there a ton of great restaurants to try! :)

  7. Just found your blog from the link-up and got so excited to see you ask ideas for Charlotte! Here are my top favorite things to do in the Queen City:
-Lunch at Tupelo Honey (off of South Blvd.)
-Dessert at the world famous Amelies Cafe (located in NODA and open 24/7
    -Shopping at Southpark
    -Any of the Levine Museum's!

  8. We have Christmas at the zoo too! So fun!

  9. I just love this! We try to make it to the zoo lights every year too! It's such a fun family tradition!
