Whiskey Warehousin' to the Romare Bearden Park

One of my friends from high school {Devan} texted me last week because she was going to be in Charlotte & wanted to go get dinner one night to catch up. Considering she & I haven't seen each other or hung out since our ZXP days, I was excited to get to see her while she was in town! And, bonus, she put up with my blogging tendencies and even took a few of these pictures :)

If it's a nice night out in Charlotte and you need somewhere to go for drinks/dinner, then I highly suggest Whiskey Warehouse in Plaza Midwood, especially if it is nice enough to enjoy a drink outside.

Whiskey Warehouse has a great rooftop bar area. Because it was a Monday night and slightly on the chilly side, the rooftop bar was not overcrowded and it was easy to find somewhere at the bar to sit. There is also a fantastic view of uptown Charlotte from the rooftop... but I'm not going to bother posting the picture I took of it, because the quality of the iPhone pic is terrible. Trust me though, the view alone is worth going up to the rooftop for a drink.

The food is way above average for "bar food" and I wouldn't even consider it that. Everything that I've had at Whiskey Warehouse has always been fantastic and I have a hard time choosing what I want to eat when I go there.

& given the name Whiskey Warehouse, you shouldn't be too surprised about the extensive selection...

I ended up ordering the Blackened Chicken Pasta {and, no surprise, ordered it without tomatoes & mushrooms}:

Devan ordered the Blackened Salmon:

After Whiskey Warehouse & our extremely disappointing pictures of the uptown skyline, I took Devan to the new Romare Bearden Park that is right beside where the new Knights stadium is being constructed. Ever since the park was completed, a lot of skyline pictures from this park have popped up on social media and it's quickly becoming a popular park area in Charlotte. I stopped by the other week to explore for myself and I will definitely be back again when I have my camera with me.

iPhones, as always, do not do it justice but...
